Marc Urselli is an interdisciplinary artist, scholar, and devotee of all things art, sound & music and works for and collaborates with
musical & visual artist, bands, musicians, composers, theater directors, film, TV, brand & mixed media multi-disciplinaries from around the world.
He has worked with U2, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave, Lou Reed, Sting, Keith Richards, Kesha, Jeff Beck, Les Paul, Buddy Guy, Luther Vandross, Børns, The Black Crowes, Frank Sinatra, Joss Stone, Mike Patton, John Zorn, Jack DeJohnette, Esperanza Spalding, John Patitucci, Laurie Anderson and scores of artists performing rock, pop, metal, jazz, experimental/avantgarde/new music, urban and electronica and classical.
Marc was born in Switzerland and raised in Italy. His musical education began at age 7. At age 17 he opened his first commercial recording facility in Italy. Marc later moved to New York City, where he currently resides and works as Chief House Engineer for the historic & legendary recording studio EastSide Sound.
Marc is a renowned, in-demand freelance producer and engineer. He records and mixes in the highest caliber studios worldwide, including Abbey Road (London), Village Recorders (LA), Capitol Sound (LA), EastWest (LA), Sunset Sound (LA), Sear Sound (NY), Flux (NY), Grouse Lodge (Dublin) and many others.
Marc is also an avid traveler & entrepreneur, and when he's not in some studio or some tour his interests include kitesurfing, art, web design and writing.

Marc has worked as sound-designer in theater productions with contemporary classical theater directors such as Peter Sellars and Julian Crouch, and composers such as MacArthur fellow Tyshawn Sorey, MacArthur fellow & Pulitzer Prize finalist John Zorn, Rome Prize winner Paola Prestini and many others in prestigious halls such as The Park Avenue Armory, New York, USA; The Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany; MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA; New Victory Times Square, New York; National Sawdust, Brooklyn, NY and many others.
Marc has also provided his own unique brand of sound design, site-specific composition, and sonic installations for visual artists such as Italian sculptor/painter Arianna Carossa, French lighting artist Laurent Fort, Chilean video artist Nicolás Rupcich, American installation artist Michelle Jaffé and more.
Marc's sound design has been featured, presented, or exhibited at the Modern Art Museum of Santiago de Chile, Chile; Le Son 7, London, UK; Villa Hanbury, Ventimiglia, Italy; Castello della Lucertola, Apricale, Italy; Galeria na Dziedziniec, Poznan, Poland; The New Gallery, Hudson, New York and Governors Island Art Fair, New York.
Marc also composes music for film and television, creates sound design for commercials, and mixes audio for film and television. He also recorded and mixed more than half a dozen movie soundtracks.
